We loved the little eco friendly touches; there was a reusable bottle of iced water in the room, a jar of shortbread so there weren’t lots of wrappers for landfill and biodegradable bin bags. The water pressure was amazing in the shower and the breakfast was DELICIOUS. The thing we liked most was how lovely the owners were though.

Its location in a quiet side road on the outskirts of the city overlooking a common which gave a feeling of being in the country; also, the spacious room, excellent shower and breakfast, comfortable bed, and personable hosts.

Our location
We have the wonderful privilege of seeing beautiful views of South Common but also having amazing places to eat, drink and visit on our doorstep. Whether you fancy a weekend of shopping, or want to soak up the rich heritage of our city by visiting the cathedral and castle, there is something for everyone. We sit a short distance from the city football stadium, and a fifteen minute walk from the centre of town. There are plenty of buses and taxis if you don't fancy wobbling down steep hill after one too many craft ales.
